September SUP Sunset

Lovely family BBQ this afternoon for Ollie's bday followed by a picnic tea on Cobo. Tried out the new picnic hamper basket, a wedding gift, played pétanque- another close game (thought I had it in the bag, one point away from winning then lost 3 games in a row to lose match:-() and watched a paddle boarder with the sunset as a beautiful backdrop.

Chatted to a group of regulars who have their tea & wine every Sunday evening on Cobo Bay and this is their 18th consecutive Sunday on the beach- just goes to show what a brilliant summer we've had!

Last year they had about 12 Sundays on the beach and the year before only managed 3 because of the weather.

They are aiming for 20 this year:-)
