Good day for Joe today- gold in the 1500m freestyle at club champs, with a time that puts him 1st in London, 2nd in Kent and 20th in Britain for his age group. He just(!) needs to pull it off in a long course pool and he could be in with a chance of competing at nationals. It's a tricky event to train for though- not one that our club is geared for. Plus his coach just can't cope with the excitement of a 60 length race.
