Someone Bigger

'Sam and Dad had made a kite....they've made it large they've made it light, they took it out on a windy day to see if they could fly it, 'Can i hold it first? Can I? said Sam.....I'm old enough I know I am!', 'No, you're too small, his Dad replied. THIS kite needs someone bigger.'
Tonight is the evening before Finn officially starts 'Big School'......he's more than ready but am I? I really thought I was.....the uniform's all ironed and name tagged, I desperately need the time as a single self employed Mum but I wasn't quite ready for this feeling............this feeling that he's someone bigger, he doesn't necessarily NEED me anymore.
We read this book as our bedtime story, I figured it'd be kinda poignant, I saved the tears for once I'd left the room, to have... with my glass of wine ......'cause I am someone bigger....
