Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺)

Temple of the Golden Pavilion - one of Kyoto's most well known landmarks.

Probably the most beautiful building I've seen so far in Kyoto - walking through the complex entrance, along a gravel path, turning the corner and "wow".

Even with coach loads of fellow tourists around there's an air of serenity here - this photo doesn't quite do it justice.
