Alpine walks

In 2008 I had the pleasure of attending the famous (at least among us physicists) Les Houches summer school in the French Alps. We spent two weeks there, staying in log cabins high above the Chamonix Valley, meeting new friends from all around Europe and eating fantastic three course meals for lunch and dinner every day. Much wine and cheese was consumed! Although we had to attend lectures for about 7 hours a day, we got lovely 3 hour lunch breaks to explore the hills around the school. We needed it to walk off all the food :)
