Happy Birthday (No.1)

We received a surprise parcel from Kazuko's auntie this evening which helped us to celebrate Arthur's eleventh birthday; two boxes of very special kamaboko. These kamaboko are designed to look like fish, persimmon, chestnuts, mushrooms and maple leaves and they bear the kanji for universal celebrations. Quite exquisite.

Geek factoid alert!! I discovered today on facebook. Arthur shares the same birthday as Michael Keaton aka Batman. I share the same birthday as Adam West aka Batman. So that makes me Batman Senior and him Batman Junior. Keaton isn't quite as awesome as West but he's pretty darn close so I'm pretty well stoked with that.
