What in the world???

We had a great day out in Macau today with Tom and took so many pix with both cameras but have opted for this one as I took it on my phone ... And it kinda sums up Macau pretty well.

Would you believe this is actually a building?! It is the Grand Lisboa and is supposed to be a lotus flower on a lotus pod! Do you see it? Like many buildings in Macau, it is shiny and garish and OTT.

The day started off with worship practice first thing and then ferry to Central to make our Macau ferry at 12. Managed to get on an earlier one. We made our lunch appointment at Club Militaire, a restaurant we've been meaning to get to for ages. It was okay :/ apparently we should have ordered off the menu rather than buffet!

Then walked across the road to the Grand Lisboa as Martin wanted to check out a restaurant there that makes 10ft long noodles, sadly no demonstrations were happening while we were there.

Then off to City of Dreams to watch The House of Dancing Water that we really wanted Tom to see.

He really enjoyed it and was as impressed as Jess was. Martin and I loved being able to share that with him.

Back to HK to a fabulous dinner at one of my favourite restaurants, Crystal Jade.
