Black swans

Walking along the river yesterday, I saw the black swans with their tiny cygnet (the white blob on the photo). It must be the time of year in Australia to have their young, a lot later than our Mute swans. A family of mute swans passed by, with 5 healthy young, the male out in front as they passed, the cygnets whistling away. The black swans trumpeted back, one either side of their youngster. A lovely sight amongst the travelling of boats on a Saturday afternoon.
