Aquarium Of The Pacific
Our daughter treated us to an afternoon at the Aquarium of the Pacific where she is a volunteer in the Water Quality Testing Laboratory. The last time we visited, she took us on a behind the scenes tour. This time, we spent our time looking at the exhibits, which are incredible. Kelsey knew so much about them from her four years of volunteer efforts and she regaled us with information and stories as we wandered the many exhibit halls. I shot many photos in somewhat challenging conditions and ended up deleting a lot of them. The ones of the West Coast Sea Nettle (shown here) were the most spectacular with a deep blue background contrasting against the yellow creatures. Their graceful shapes and fluid movements were fun to look at and photograph. Lots of photos to sort through in my attempts to isolate one in a tank of many. Thank heavens for digital!
