Sea Star Sighting

The lowest tide this week was earlyish on this beautiful morning so we went to check on our sea star count of the same 50 meters of beach where we counted them in June. (check this link for info about the sea star wasting disease...) Happy to report we saw 7 healthy looking stars! Not hundreds like previously in this place, but none (that I could see) sick or dead. So I will send the report and try to find out if there has been any progress on determining the cause for the massive deaths of these stars earlier. Getting ready to leave for Seattle shortly so will just post this for now…..and report later....
