When I lived in Newcastle in the 80's, I used to walk past this building every day, and loved its bold 60's design.

I finally got to go inside, as it was the venue for the EEUK gala dinner. Inside it is perfect, complete with wide, uncluttered staircase and amazing 60's styled crystal chandeliers. I really ought to have photographed the women's loos...epic!
