Bye Bye Wold Newton

The rain was a great disappointment today as we had planned to visit Benningborough Hall on our way to the airport but it was so wet that we abandoned that idea.
We walked Mollie round the village and fed the ducks then visited Marlene who writes childrens books. She has just published her new book "The Sleepover" so Tom and Sam were treated to a reading. She also had a beautiful 3 D advent calender with a story book that she had written. Sadly its only in French at the moment which isn't one of Tom and Sam's languages.
Home for a roast chicken lunch before the drive to Leeds Bradford Airport, the end of a lovely 2 weeks together. The car was very quiet and empty on the way back home.
