Swans

As feared for some time, our pair of swans and their six cygnets seen earlier in the year is now reduced to a single adult and three cygnets. I had hoped that my earlier sightings were just of half the group but as I've only seen the foursome for several weeks I have now assumed the worst. I can only assume that the reports I've read of bottulism killing swans along the Manchester ship canal has claimed them - the Bridgewater canal intersects and crosses the Manchester ship and it's only a matter of a few hundred yards away from the Bridgewater Canal here in Lymm. We are sad they are reduced, but still a beautiful sight and glad the remaining adult has brought them to see us as in years past, even if it was to eat our stale bread!

In other news our Suzuka tickets arrived this morning *cue manic grin*
