The waiting hands...
A wonderful run outside this morning was a good way to start the day - Gavin, Murdoch and I. The marathon runner had to slow down for both Murdoch (who is getting older these days) and I who just can't keep up with his fast pace....
We went to watch Adam's rugby match after lunch. Adam is in the 2nd team which is a strong team - except they got absolutely destroyed by the opposition today, I cannot even remember the score it was so bad! After the match we found out that the opposition had spent two weeks in Wales on pre-season training and matches, and one could see the results of that in their game today.
Thomas had rugby trials all afternoon so they could pick the U14 teams (which is far more sensible then just asking what team they had been in at prep school and choosing on that basis) and will have his first match next weekend. However he was delighted to find out that he has been selected for the main Symphony Orchestra which is quite unusual for a first year new boy, and is also in the senior Jazz band. He is enjoying his new school very much so far, which is a relief.
Here you can see Adam being lifted and the waiting hands to receive the ball.
