Calm before the storm

About 20 seconds after I took this shot, the heavens opened and we had to take cover under someone's balcony.

It was like a tropical storm. The noise of the rain smacking off the Water Of Leith was incredible. And within five minutes it was all gone.

Earlier today we watched Lucy run over the finish line at the Scottish Half Marathon (1h 46m). We got stuck in traffic on the way into Musselburgh and after a quick detour we made it to the finish about a minute before she passed. Perfect timing!
