It really is beginning to seem like the Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.

Red apples bending the branches on the apple trees. Rose hips, hawthorn berries and juicy blackberries in abundance in the hedgerows. Sun and showers today - almost too hot for gardening in the sunshine, but a distinct chill in the air when the sun goes in.
