Autumn clear up

This is Pontaderia Cordata more commonly known as Pickeral Weed. Working around the pond today getting things cleared up for winter which will be with us all too soon. The nights are closing in and the mornings are noticeably darker, today is however, quite warm and sultry yet no sun to be seen. There is a smell in the air that takes me back to the start of a new school year, new shoes, uniform too big and that wonderful feeling when you start a new writing book! Where have those years gone?
