Burnout

I've been coming to this track for several years now but recently my friend and fellow rider, Pete, has been organising these fantastic evening events. We celebrated this one with a burnout competition! When they got going the exhaust pipes were glowing red from the heat and this particular guy even burst his rear tyre.

My bike's engine had quit so I spent the last part of the evening taking photos. I didn't have much time to set up for this shot and Dad was holding my lightstand to keep the wind from blowing it over (those umbrellas make great sails)
