The Battle of Aylesbury - 1 November 1642

Sorry peeps I took this yesterday but I thought the plaque was so interesting that I had to put it on here. This tomb is at Hardwick church in Buckinghamshire & contains the remains of the men who died fighting at the above battle during the English Civil War. All 247 were discovered lying where they fell in 1818 & reinterred here.

Interesting eh ??

Easier day today consisting of mowing the grass & peeling the spuds & general tidying in the loft !
