St Peter's Church
We stopped to take pictures of the Jacob Sheep in the field and then were drawn to the redundant Church of St Peter in the Northamptonshire village of Deene.
The Church, built with local stone and Collyweston slate, dates back to the 13th century and has been the estate Church of the Brudenell family who have lived at Deene Park since 1514. The Church holds the marble tombs of the 7th Earl of Cardigan and his wife. The Earl led the Charge of the Light Brigade.
