Behind the castle's bars

My sister, F, and my brother-in-law, G, were staying for a couple of days. We four went to Sizergh Castle. This is one of the castle's lowest windows.

A while ago, I commented in another Blip entry, that I felt the past far more present in today's France than in today's England. Other Blippers challenged me on this, and set me looking again at my home surroundings, with, almost, a tourist's eye.
