Ground Level

Utterly beautiful day even though it's very dry around here. Spent the afternoon reading while lying on the ground with feet and legs in the sun and the rest of me in shade. It was so quiet and dreamy with the bright blue sky and occasional tiny leaf breaking away from way up in the tall locusts to drift out into the open and away. It's been a long time since I did this and I'm a better person for it. You can see wood scraps from laying in our winter firewood supply; you can see the crooked lawn umbrella I didn't want to move, and you can see our new adirondack chairs from Ace Hardware. We love our new chairs, but nothing beats a summer day from ground level.
