Provençal Village in the Maures
The Massif of the Maures Mountains is a protected nature area east of Aix-en-Provence running along the coast from Toulon to St.Tropez.
This is a typical Mediterranean maquis covered with cork oak trees, maritime pine trees & chestnut trees.
Collobrières is a small town in the middle of this wild area. It is well-known for its candied chestnuts and its chestnut festival at the end of October each year.
