When we're Confined to barracks I tend to prowl the garden, peering.
On this particular "peer" I spotted an ant scuttling along with something in its maw, nearly as long as itself.

As it scuttled under some strands of Pearlwort I tried to move them for a better view
Ant - exit stage left - drop burden - do not pass go - do not take any load.
The "seed" it appeared to be carrying turned out to be this item.
