Day 2

4years 318days

She woke up a wee bit later, thank goodness, today. She read her book to me (she's cracking on through her top level books now!). When she was dressed, she sat down and said "I am going to do some of my workbook, as we didn't read or write or do numbers at school". She did 6 pages, including her first word search. She was ready pretty early and reached a point where she couldn't wait any longer to go. She called up the stairs "Bye Monkey, have a good sleep!" as we left. We were meant to have friends calling for us to walk, but she ended up calling for them. She skipped and ran the whole way again, doing a funny dance at one point. Lydi joined her.

She went into school full of it today, not a problem in the slightest. She said when she came out "I ate all my dinner again, all of the vegetables this time!" She said she learnt today that carpet time is quiet time. Mr A did songs again as they arrived and she "sat and joined the others. My teachers put my bag away, but I know which peg says my name. I said I was having a hot lunch today. And I did". She had apple for snack. She did a picture of blue stars and circles and wrote her name on it "and a teacher didn't tell me to". She played on the bikes again and did the climbing, "but the slide was too small so I jumped off it". She said she sat with a friend from preschool for lunch, which "was lots of sausage after the teacher, well the cook, cut it up. They cut it up for all the Foundation children". She "remembered to tuck my t-shirt in after the toilet and the dryer doesn't frighten me now". She complained again that they haven't done any reading or numbers yet.

But she came out, grinning, happy and keen to go back for a third go tomorrow.

Thank you so much for all the love for yesterday's big day blip
