Isaac slept until almost 8 this morning after having no nap yesterday. Amelie came and woke me to ask if she could play a game on my phone so that kept her busy until Chris got up.

Amelie had a few things to do to finish off her summer book for school so we did that then she wanted to paint. Isaac came through and seemed keen to join in so I thought why not... I haven't actually done any painting with him yet. He loved it! He wasn't entirely sure about dipping his fingers in to start with but soon got really engrossed in dipping and smearing! He was pointing to the colours he wanted me to get for him. I would definitely say he was far more enthusiastic about it than ever Amelie was. So looks like we will be doing more of that!

After I had cleaned up the huge mess we had lunch and they played outside. Our only outing of the day was to the post office to return a parcel to H&M. Isaac saw a tractor, well actually two, and got completely over excited! The second one was pulling a trailer of cow poo...

I had a battle keeping Isaac awake at 4 as he hasn't had a nap today. Hard to tell if he really is ready for no nap days of not...
