Kokong and Chimie in London

A former colleague, Kokong, is in the UK today for a study visit in UCL. And as a gracious host, I met with him and roamed around London. We only got to roam inside UCL (they have a fancier library than Warwick!) and Tower Bridge. It was a short visit as i have to leave London by 5pm. It was also freaking hot in London. I was in my best autumn attire but was sweating all over the place!

I also timed my visit to London to submit my Chile Visa requirements. I got a very positive response from the visa officer. After checking that my documents are intact, he assured that there should not be a problem getting a visa in my case and he said that i would probably be given 15days of visa validity in case i decide to tour Chile more after my conference. I was so happy to hear it and it obviously put a smile on my face. It was just so odd that they did not take my passport. But the officer said that they dont do delivery of passports unlike applications to the Schengen Area. I will have to wait for them to contact me and come back to London with my passport so that they can issue it then. I also didnt have to pay the visa fee today. I will be paying on the day i will be issued a visa.
