Herm island

Hatty woke up and suggested a day trip to Herm. The sun was shining so we dashed around to deal with pets and post etc, and found a 10 hour parking space near the model yacht pond.
The boat was packed but as soon as you arrive in Herm, everyone disperses and it has a special atmosphere. We strolled along the gritty and sandy paths, sat on shell beach, swam in belvoir bay and saw lots of grouses or guinea fowl with young walking in and out of the ferns!
We got back to Guernsey at 6pm and dashed to Waitrose to pick up stuff to make vegetable curry!
It's been a lovely day!
