Loch Chon
The forecast was very mixed and the sky very grey but we headed out West anyway to the Trossachs National Park. As we traveled along Loch Lubnaig it started to pour with rain and the sky was very black, however as we turned along Loch Venachar we seemed to come out the other side of the storm.
We stopped for lunch at Loch Katrine and surprisingly were able to sit outside in the sun! We watched the SS Sir Walter Scott come in and go out again and then continued on our journey, up over the hill to Aberfoyle. We then took a road which was an 11 mile dead end but looked interesting as it passed Loch Ard, Loch Chon and Loch Arklet to take us to Stronachlachar at the other end of Loch Katrine. The reflections on the water were lovely and we stopped a few times for photos, the light contrast was quite hard though. By the time we reached the end of the road the sun was out and it turned into a glorious late afternoon/early evening. We had afternoon tea and then did the return journey.
Thanks once again to ANewDay for another wonderful day.
Because of the lighting contrast I've had to tweak the levels a bit on this shot.
