Iron circle

After a day working at the computer and tidying up some maths I had about half an hour for a quick stroll while D was escorting our visitors down from town on a no 22.

I saw the swans working their way along the wall looking for tasty bits of....sludgy weed, or whatever it is they like. This couple were seriously bonding - look out for a nest further up the W of Leith in due course, Leith blippers! Strange to say, but they were not mute, but making low snorting grunts to each other like a couple of under-sized piggies. Wonder if that's flirting in swan-speak?

This is a sizeable iron ring, about half a metre in diameter. It's just outside Quayside Mills though, so it's a long time since a sizeable ship could have tied up to it.
