My plant

I have this plant my wife another sort of plant i think 6 monthes ago. We both look after our own plant to see who takes best care of their plant best?
Both plants are unknowen to us and we may not goggle for tips.all we know is they are from somewhere in south america.
My wifes plant is not the same as my plant but dos look better than my plant(she says)
