Da Nort Bank, Foula

On a visit to Fair Isle one of the bits of advice we were given was “Keep away from the edge”. I rather think a similar warning couple should be given on Foula. Foula is about 20 miles west of mainland Shetland and has a magnificent bank of high cliffs facing out onto the North Atlantic.

From one of the headlands on the north side of the island you can look along Da Nort Bank (The North Bank) from Soberlie at the near end along to Da Kame at the far end – Da Kame is roughly a 1000 feet straight above sea level.
