The Stables

I love this place. It's called The Stables and this fine young lady taking my order is in her 70's. Mid 70's. She thinks I'm cheeky. I am cheeky!

It's a cafe run by the local CofE church in Mansfield Woodhouse and to me is where love and humanity meets.

I take many people there. Quite a few of the team plus many of the guests who come to see me. It's interesting to see many of them recoil at a good old fashioned place like this with its volunteers and quirky ways. I get as much fun out of watching their reaction as I do recounting it later.

Others of course treasure this place too. Places like this matter don't they.
