the very Hungry Caterpillar

'On Monday he ate through one apple.
But he was still hungry.

One of our favourite books in the Pink house, is the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We all love the story, especially when he turns into a beautiful butterfly. I love the artwork, it's really inspiring.

Today Master Pink and I played hungry caterpillar the board game. It's currently joint favourite with snakes and ladders, for activities to do when not watching "the Wiggles" (sigh!). The board game takes you on the journey from the sunday morning, through all the different foods the caterpillar must eat, until he stops and waits and turns into a cocoon. The winner is the first one to become a beautiful butterfly.

Master Pink wins a lot! ;O)
