Autumn!

Now I believe it! Autumn has arrived. Misty, murky morning. Toadstools and mushrooms popping up all over the place. This one (I think from my brief effort to identify it) is Coprinus comatus, or shaggy ink cap. Edible. But not by me. I don't trust my ability to identify fungi and would prefer to buy them from the greengrocer.

Back to the window frames whilst I await delivery of six bags of hydraulic lime, a ton of washed sand, and a ton of Bideford grit (now an endangered building material - the dredging fee grew to quarter of a million so they're no longer pulling it out). Cost an arm and a leg but I want the lime render, on the gable end and rear, and pointing of the stone facade of the cottage, to have texture!
