Common House Gecko-Hemidactylus frenatus
We had lóts of them in the house in Zambia, and I am só thrilled that they are here as well! They are só delicate and almost transparent!
They eat all sorts of small insects, like mosquitoes and flies, even spiders and locusts. They are quite small when fully grown, this little critter is about 4.5cms from nose to tail end at this stage!! Stil a very small baby, don't suppose he will be eating spiders and locusts yet!
I think that is the reason he came into my bathroom, I saw him outside the window last night, and this morning he was on the windowsil inside the window, munching musquitoes, and later he was on the handshower by the bath's tap, thirsty perhaps? The showerhead is 6cms in diameter, so you can just imagine how small he is!
They can lose their tails when they are startled, but it grows back perfectly!
Hope all of you are going to have a fun valentine's weekend!!
