In honour of a treasured companion

I was able to leave work early today so before I left I went to visit a place I haven't looked at in a while, the dog cemetery. These are the dogs that would have been owned and taken care of by soldiers at the castle. I hadn't really thought about it but it is quite sweet that we humans go to such an effort to commemorate an animal that means so much to us. I didn't realize how much of a personality dogs have until my sister got herself one and I got to know him. (I have never owned a pet myself) I guess these dogs meant a lot to the soldiers that had them in their lives. I'm off for two days now and so looking forward to it, time to relax!
