Let's go boating

A strange day filled with emotions. Stressful at first followed by much enjoyment proceeded by boredom and frustration. Much of the day was spent with my Russian client in central London. This lovely chap has shown me round much of Moscow three times so it was only fair the gratitude was repaid as we took in the sights including a riverboat tour along the Thames. Did you know, I learnt as we floated by, that St Paul's cathedral is 365ft high... one ft for er everyday of the year. We moored next to HMS Belfast then visited all the poppies at the Tower of Hamlet. We have a great capital city that should never be taken for granted. After a lovely afternoon I stupidly took him to Wembley to watch possibly the worst game of football I've ever witnessed. We really are rubbish. Should have taken him to McDonalds - would have been more fun that. He seemed to enjoy it which is what matters I suppose.
