Back to our woodland walks

Today has been an energetic day and it felt good! 2 hours hoeing and raking at The Community Garden followed by a walk up the woods. This summer has been a little sedentary, mainly because it's been pretty hot, plus I've had a lot of editing to do so it felt good to get back to having a walk up the woods again now it's a little cooler.
Finn insisted on climbing 'the steep steps' and we huffed and puffed our way up there, and collapsed on 'our bench' at the top sweating with our hearts beating out of our chests and feeling invigorated and alive! We sat a while and chatted - something we so rarely have time for......he's great company now and very funny.
We love the patterns nature makes, the light shining through leaves, this spider web......a farmer was scattering something on a field so it had settled on and accentuated this particular web...... Roll on the autumn, my favourite time of year, lots more woodland walks coming up methinks :-)
