On the ferry to Waiheke Island
Today we took a long walk to the beautiful ferry terminal in the heart of Auckland and caught a boat to Waiheke Island. Really peaceful and rich in wineries it was a relaxing afternoon. We also visited the fantastic suburb of Devonport across the water from the city centre and climbed its dormant volcano for some spectacular views. The town also had a British supermarket with lots of products from the UK for the many many expats here. Ferried back for a curry and some beer, jet lag finally abating I think!
