Robert Watson-Watt. Brechin

Robert Watson-Watt (born in Brechin) developed the radar system used in air travel. His statue stands in Brechin and Princess Anne unvieled the Plaque of it this afternoon. You can follow that on in front of Brechin Library.

I did not go to see her because I couldn't face the traffic that I imagined being there. When I went about 4 pm there were still roads closed. There is a Lidls in Brechin so I did my shopping while I was there!

I shot the statue in Auto - I was too tired to get my head around changing the aperature to suit the dull daylight and so I used Curves to get some detail in the statue. Otherwise it just looks like a silhouette against a grey sky. Curves lightened the statue and the sky. It hasn't rained to day - just threatened to - LOL!
