Fall Takes The Plunge

An early autumn visitor to the pool this morning.

It's been unbearably hot and humid for the past couple of days, which seems strange juxtaposed with the leaves turning colour. Another hot one is predicted for today. I, for one, am looking forward to cool, crisp temperatures necessitating crackling fires in the hearth and the wearing of sweaters.

EXCITING NEWS: I am sitting by the phone today. I got word from our youngest son that he and his wife arrived at the hospital at around six this morning. Our long-awaited granddaughter is on her way!!!!!

UPDATE! Little Miss W. arrived this morning at 10:45, weighing 7 lb. 5 oz. and 19 1/2" long. Mom and baby (and Dad!) are all doing fine. No name yet ... we're heading up to Vermont to see them right now! So excited!
