Waiting Patiently
David and I both haven't been on a bus in years as we both drive but with Lindsay starting college in Stirling we thought that this would be the best way for her to travel. We looked up bus routes , times and what number to take for which buses, from Grangemouth -Falkirk. Falkirk- Stirling and then back home again we thought we had it sussed not. David has a bus pass which he has never used so Monday morning he accompanied Lindsay on the buses as she was slightly unsure, they purchased a weekly student travel ticket from the first bus driver then arriving at Falkirk bus station they just missed the bus that they were needing but a fellow passenger told them to take another bus to Stirling which meant them running late in the mean time I had been walking the pups with the plan being that I would pick David up at Stirling College to take him to his work, plan A would have worked if not for running late just as I neared the slip road for Stirling David phoned to see if I could pick them up in Stirling as they wouldn't make the last connection to get to College on time. Lindsay trying to head home that night encountered another problem the driver was asking for a student card to go with her bus ticket which she didn't know anything about, he let her on but informed her that if an inspector came on then she would be in trouble and so would he ,it did not make for a pleasant bus trip and a phone call later had me picking her up in Falkirk as she was stressed to the max by this time, told her it would be better the next day. Tues started well Lindsay and David got the bus to Falkirk no prob found the bus she needed and David got a bus back to work. I was walking the pups luckily heading back to the car when I got a phone call from Lindsay the bus was heading to Edinburgh not Stirling and she had got off not sure where she was in a panic, managed to figure out that she was quite a distance outside of Linlithgow so pups back in car and off to find her and then drive her through to college we made it with only being 24mins late and Lindsay threatening to never get on a bus again. I had made a promise to her the night before that I would meet her at Stirling bus station and go home with her on the bus and try to sort out what was wrong with her ticket at the Stirling end, I had no probs with my buses through to Stirling and made inquries at the bus office turns out she needed a student bus card from their company which can take up to a fortnight to be delivered in the meantime she will have to pay full price for her ticket , luckily the driver of our Stirling bus had words with his inspector and they both decided that Falkirk office could deal with it and let us get on to go home , we went into the Falkirk office to be told to pop in tomorrow and they would sort it out , she wasn't laughing this morning but she can smile about it now :):)
