Will has been visiting Marie today, he loves it there. There are kittens, chickens, hair cutting facilities, McDonalds and a trip to Bramber castle. He came home a very happy boy.

First trip to the nurse today for a dressing change. I was a little worried because I don't have a broken leg setup that is well known outside the orthopaedic specialists. But I managed to get a nurse with 20 years ortho experience who was incredibly excited to see my leg. She did a beautiful dressing, trained another nurse in it and organised her calendar for my appointments for the next two weeks. She was wonderful, we were both very happy. She was also very stern with me about the need to continue to do bugger all.

My mum came round this afternoon for her continued care in the community programme. We cleared out Will's clothes, a long overdue job I meant to do in my week off last week. I sat on the bed with directions and she did all the work, I sent her home with the bag for the charity shop. It is a splendid service she provides.

And I've only cried twice today, a good day :)
