The best apple recipe ever goes like this...
Maybe the best apple-oat - bake recipe ever is the one here. My son has learned this recipe of bake at school and it goes like this;
Warm oven to 200c degrees.
Butter the cake tin properly.
Bottom:
Slice approx 3-4 apples and place the slices to the tin, make an even surface.
( no need to peal the apples)
Add 1/2dl of water on the apple slices.
Shake 2 large spoonfuls of brown (or farine) sugar on the apple slices.
Add some cinnamon on them.
Topping:
Melt 75grams of butter and add 2dl of oat flakes and 1/2dl of sugar, mix togheter properly.
Lay the topping on the sliced apples.
Put the cake tin into the oven for 25minutes.
Enjoy the ready bake with vanilla sauce of vanilla ice cream.
The recipe is my son's favourite. He baked the pie again today as my friend with her son came for visit. And they took some apples too - about two bags - but there still is plenty of in the tree. I have counted that we have harvested about 12 big bags of apples already - shared them with grandparents, friends and neighbours. We have plenty of apple products waiting in the freezer. A good year for the White Transparent -tree (Valkea kuulas in finnish. :)
Lovely evening with my friend, we were sitting in the garden. A bit cool weather already, some +16c. Cloudy day, but nice.
Thanks a lot for your company here - stars, chatting and comments lately. It really is a priviledge to have hobby like this, companions like you!
