New garden

I know it looks very bare, especially when compared to this. What you can't see from the earlier shot is how wet the ground was and the quantity of gravel and overgrown shrubs there were. Another week and I can walk on the new turf, give it it's first haircut and start to treat the fencing. Planting of new shrubs and flowers will take some months/years, after all a gardner's work is never done. Quite excited about selecting suitable plants. Can see me haunting garden centres when on my travels. Perhaps a souvenir plant from every future UK holiday!
