a child's treasure

While photographing ducks and taking way too many photos of them I suddenly saw an object reflecting in the water. At first it looked like some type of receiver, but I soon realized that it was instead white paper reflecting sunlight. It then became clear that it was a make-shift sailboat. With blipfoto in mind I knew I should take a photo : )

A few minutes later a boy and a man (maybe his father, uncle, guardian) walked by where I was standing taking photos and they were following the boat as it sailed across the pond! How cool is this : ) The boy was probably about five years old and my guess is that they were following the boat as it traveled across the pond (yes there was some wind!).

Such a wonderful thing for this little boy - and the man seemed to be having fun too! The extra cool thing is that the boat is pink! It isn't that often that I see boys playing with things that are pink, so this was refreshing to see.
