OCTAVE MANDOLINE - NECKLESS!

Wood doesn't stop living after the tree gets chopped down - under tension it needs to find it's equilibrium. As you can probably see, I made this in 2009 - and after five years it needs a slight "neck reset".

Luckily I gave it a bolted neck - had I given it the traditional dovetail, the job would have been a right nightmare. All I have to do is add tapered hardwood shims to the shoulders - +/- 0.5mm -> 00.0mm.

This might take several tries/retries - get it perfect in the end...
