Repetition #1

I was driving to work this morning and passed a row of saplings that I thought would make a good blip - the sun was shining through the plastic casings that protect their stems and the repeating motif looked good. However, I wasn't quick enough to register this fact and so was too late to stop (although I may try another morning). But it got me thinking about doing a short series on repetition. So here are a row of silk reels that I use sometimes in my stitching (I have changed the levels in Photoshop so you can't see the reels any more, just the silk). I love using these silk threads in my work - the colours are so rich and they feel very special (well, they should do, the price they cost!).
