The last outing as a family of 3

As S2's mum arrives tomorrow to help us until bubs arrive, we decided to have one last trip to the zoo as just a family of 3.

So, I packed up a picnic lunch and off we headed. Predictably CJ wanted to see the penguins first, so we headed up to the penguin enclosure, where we found a free picnic table! After lunch we headed down to the monkeys before heading back past the penguins on the way to the otters and river hogs (CJ other favourite animals).

It seems that whenever we go to the zoo, we never get past a small collection of CJ's favourites!

After running around for a few hours, CJ was ready for a nap, so we headed home - but not before one last treat of a Peppa Pig car ride as we exited the zoo. He was so excited about the car ride and made sure that Puddle Monkey was sitting with him the whole time - even stopping steering for a while to pull him back into the seat when he slipped down!

A perfect day to celebrate the fact that our little family of 3 will soon become 4!
